am in third year of the Bachelor International Management in a double-degree program in Metropolia Business School located in Helsinki. At the end of the year , I will be
graduate by both university. You will have further informations about it in the section “double-degree”.

Learning Outcome First Semester:
Strategic Management – Context and Analysis :
I understood the development of Strategic Management and the influences impacting upon the subject area, the essence of Strategic Analysis and I appreciate the context of managing strategically.
This class has been very important for me, I developed my writing skills as have a deeper comprehension on the text. I also developed my analytical mind set.
European Law and Business :
This course has been written for those who intend to engage in business both within and outside the European Union internal market. The course will examine the impact of EU legislation on business. The course will endeavour to examine this impact from both the theoretical and practical viewpoints. The course aims to give the student an understanding of the essential commercial principles regulating trade both within and outside the EU.
This class was very interesting and give me a better knowledge about European Law and how to apply it in real situation to defend our company against unlawful practice.
Contextual Decision Making :
In this class, we have been able to know how to assess situation, better understand how to apply marketing tools to organize & analyze key information. We will also be able to define opportunities and problems, identify and evaluate alternative courses of action. We also learn more about international corporate behavior and the decision making process.
In addition, we acquired new professionals assets such as problem solving skills, be able to write up a competent “white paper” or case study, have more practice in presentations and consolidate and further development of existing disciplinary knowledge through application in real life situation.
This class was also very helpful and I learn the most part of the larning outcome described above, especially about problem solving.
Managerial Communication :
Build on our current communication skills, applying broader principles for effective managerial communication. Through practical application we are able to understand and be able to adapt to the complex and dynamic mix of written, spoken and visual communication that takes place within and between organisations.
So far, we are
• able to produce effective messages both orally and in writing in a managerial capacity and for employees of a company.
• able to produce effective managerial messages in writing for a variety of stakeholders.
• able to communicate effectively in managerial contexts – performance review situations, negotiations, meetings and conflict situations.
• able to plan, organise and deliver a managerial seminar.
Definitely, this class helped me to enhance my communication skills and my writing skills.
Language (Spanish) :
To learn and practice Spanish grammar and vocabulary used in business situations, working life communications, advertisement and projects. The students will develop written and oral skills.
I already have a good level in Spanish but this course helped me to improve my writing and speaking skills and learn more about grammar and vocabylary used in business situation.
Marketing Practice :
The course is designed to better international marketing experience with a truly on-line business simulation game. During the simulation, student teams will manage the marketing department of a global telecommunications company and compete with other student teams in the simulated markets. Students will design and launch mobile PDA devices to the market place and compete in various consumer and business segments.
Student will understand marketing strategy decisions in all areas of company management: marketing, finance*, investments and production in order to maximize shareholder value.
One of my favorite subject, we were confronted at “real” situation in a business game. We must applied all our knowledge in Marketing and Finance competing against others companies. We finished first with the more equity and liquidity. I understood and learned many things about Marketing Strategy Decisions.

All our courses were delivered by teacher of quality witch have a strong experience in the professional world and achieved it to combine it with theoretical knowledge to give the best equilibrium possible and be ready to use it in our professional work. I strongly recommend this program if you are interested to have an assignment with the both side and if you are able to work by yourself because many assignments need to read books and go deeper in the subject.
